Alexis strutted down her house's staircase, an aura of confidence covered her greatly. A rumble came behind her and Alexis quickly saw the source of the noise.
Her two younger brothers were stampeding like wild animals, which was an apt description Alexis always said, the two of them babbling wildly about a variety of subjects. The moment they arrived at the top of the stairs, Alexis immediately called out to them.
"Alright you two rascals, stop right there!" It was a testament to Alexis' own leadership that the two boys stopped when they heard her declaration. Their once energetic race towards the stairs foot turned into a solemn march downwards. Alexis was at the front of this movement downstairs, upon arriving she pointed towards the kitchen. The two boys followed, their heads slumped into the shoulders.
Alexis smiled as she saw her mom in the kitchen cooking for her kids. Alexis' Mom waved her daughter and sons into the kitchen and kissed them good morning.
"Ready for the first day back into school?"
"No!" The twins yelled.
"Of course, I got plans for the school. I'm going to get back onto the student council." Alexis announced.
"Just like last year and the year before that?" Her mother jokingly questioned.
Alexis confidently posed before she pulled out a chair to sit down with her siblings.Looking around, Alexis saw the twins gluttonously consuming a box of cereal that she had never seen before.
"What's that?"
"Its just 'MUCHO CRUNCH Cereal'" Her brother Thad announced, her mother quickly went over to shush the boy of his enthusiastic yell. Alexis looked over the blue cereal box and decided to taste a little of it. Getting up, Alexis pranced over to the cabinet to take out a bowl, followed by her opening the fridge to get some milk.
Sitting down again, Alexis proceeded to take the cereal and pour it into the bowl, followed by the milk. Slowly did she dip her spoon into the bowl and quietly munched down on the berry tasting cereal.
Not bad, In fact, I kinda like it.
Somewhere in her stomach, a grumble started to form.
