While kerfuffle of Natsuki going up an inch past Sayori continues, you ask Monika "Hey do you mind talking in the hallway with me real quick?" Monika takes a hard sip nearly choking on it and presses her hand to her mouth as she agrees.
You take her out in the hall and she leans back against the lockers looking up at you and asks "Did you need some air after all that excitement?" She sits there calmly as you tell her.
"Monika, I think I might've grown Natsuki." She gives you a sillier looking expression showing disbelief. "I know it sounds silly, but she grew just as I thought it would be helpful if she did." Monika pats your head with her hand.
"Aw, it's so sweet that you wanna be so helpful that you grew Natsuki with your mind. Maybe you can also use your special powers to heat my tea, it was pretty cols when I came back." You brush off her teasings and explain both the book situation and your eyesight tweeking out right as it happened.
"Look, I don't need to tell you how ridiculous you sound right? She only grew like 3 or 4 inches, that's nothing spectacular. Beside did you witness her growing, or do you think maybe she already had a growth spurt and didn't realize it herself until she stood on the chair?" Monika's questioning does make you start to doubt it, but you remember her stretching for the shelf. If she was already taller, there wouldn't have been the thought in your head of going to help. "Alright Mr. Magic eyes, how about we test it then." She says with a smirk up to you.
"Test it?" She nods
"Right now I'm 5'3, I was this morning, and I was yesterday. If you're as powerful and can grow people just with the thought like you said, then go ahead and grow me up a bit." What you're unaware is Monika already knows about your new powers, with a little dream diving she got to see something special to gift you. But now she has to egg you on so you'll know that you have it. That and she enjoys having you to herself to pick on you a bit.
"Alright, I'll try." Monika's smile stays on her head, and she stands straight keeping her eyes closed to let you do your thing. You stare at her, trying to think any special way to trigger it, last time you sort of wished that Natsuki would have some extra height to not reach the chair, so you may as well go for that as well. Although not having anything to help Monika grab you decide maybe just think it differently. You wish Monika to be the tallest of the girls in the club. You keep staring at her repeating it in your head, then your eyes focus on Monika and as if your eyes were splitting a second image of Monika overlaid her lifting a couple inches on top of her head.
When your eyes refocused, Monika was up to that secondary image, using the lockers behind her as reference, you're sure she grew too. She opens one eye at you and asks "Are you going to start?" You snap back to and respond.
"I uh, I think it worked." She opens her other eye and looks at her arms and down at the floor not really noticing anything. Then she takes a step forward to you to compare your height to hers. You step back but she pulls you in focusing with her eyes. Before those eyes were level with your neck, now they're lined up with your mouth, just slightly above Yuri's level. Those eyes widen and she looks up to you.
"You really grew me?" She knew you could, but didn't show any signs of knowing to you "Wow, this is surreal. It was only a little bit, but just knowing it happened." You do have a bit of happiness knowing you weren't losing it, but watching Monika react leaves you slightly worried that she might be upset about being 5'6. "Hey," you get ready for some reaction but you just see her smirking instead "how do you feel about girls taller than you?" Monika sets up about to suggest a way to use your powers.
