It was a scene like many others in the Fate universe. Shirou sees Lancer and Archer fight, tries to run but can't, and gets revived by Rin. And stop me if you heard this part before. But he gets found by Lancer again, runs out of the house trying to fight and almost die again. Only to be saved by luck as he summons Saber. And life goes on.
But what if something different occured?
Say like, the ritual circle was designed a bit differently.
You summon someone who is the heroes worst fears, for example.
But it has to be done properly. Luck can only take you so far.
Otherwise, things backfire and change. As poor Shirou will attest.
"Hold still you little ... oh no. NO!NO!NO! NOT HER!" Lancer felt an all too familiar fear as someone began to appear.
Shirou's eyes boggled in confusion as the guy who was trying to kill him suddenly looked like he'd seen a ghost.
"HELL NO! I am NOT sticking around for this!" Lancer astralized as the figure.
Shirou jumped up to try and chase after the fleeing man turned ghost.
Only to slip on the pipe he was working on earlier.
He fell into the decidedly feminine figure that had almost taken form.
"Well, well. To be summoned like this. Are you my- WHAT HAVE DON-" She couldn't even finish.
A bright flash of light could be seen from the garage. And then silence.
