Jonathan: English prof, shy and quiet

Johnathan glanced over his student's paper. It wasn't looking good. There were plenty of mistakes, and this was the third time Max had written this assignment.

Standing on the opposite side of the desk, Max stood shifting from foot to foot and nervously moving his hands.

"Look I know it's not good," Max blurted out. "But this is really important. If I can't pass this assignment, coach is going to bench me for the next two games."

"Max, I'm going to be honest, if you don't pass this assignment you won't be able to pass this class at all," Jonathan sighed. He didn't like failing his students. It always came with awkward conversations like these. "And I'll be honest it's not looking like you're going to do well."
