Chapter #6

Titania’s Tiny Task Force!

    by: Krashify Author IconMail Icon
The Crimean resistance began it’s march into Daein territory, however losses of attrition were taking their toll on the army, despite continual success. This led the Crimean strategists to think of a way to weaken the defences of the Daein fortresses before they advance. Excited by a potential new solution to their problems, Ike called a meeting for a special task force capable of executing this solution.

Titania entered the war room, the tall gallant red head catching the attention of the room. She scans the room and finds Ike at the head of the table, and 3 women seated in front of him. She makes her way beside Ike, who then nods to her as she sits beside him.

The room looks to the entrance as Tanith and Sigrun enter, Sigrun begins “I apologise for us being late, the cold weather means our Pegasi have to travel slowly in low visibility.”

“No problem at all, thank you for joining us.” Ike begins “Right, now that everyone’s here, we can begin.” as Tanith and Sigrun join the group of women in front of Titania and Ike. He continued “A new type of magic has been unearthed that will allow our forces to infiltrate any stronghold with ease. We will be able to send soldiers undetected into their base, then strike key strategic strongholds from within.”

“How will we do that? Go invisible?” questioned Lucia.

“Not quite, the new magic will allow us to safely shrink soldiers down to a tiny size, allowing them to slip past guards and infiltrate via passages that would be impossible normally” Ike responded.

He was met with stunned faces amongst the women. “You’re joking!” Tanith snapped

“You want us to enter the enemy’s strongholds… as tiny insects…” followed Nephenee quietly.

“Wait. So we’re meant to enter in tiny, how will we fight from within? They’ll crush us instantly!” Tanith questioned

Ike explained “Don’t worry, they have another spell to grow you back. you’ll enter undetected, able to enter through an unguarded entrance then reach your destination and grow back, allowing a sneak attack on priority targets before they can respond!”

“Who’s they? Who discovered such a spell?” Lucia wondered

“Some Begnion agents working for a member of the Begnion Senate informed us of this spell. No one apart from ourselves and a collect few in Begnion know about this, especially not Daein, so we should be able to remain unnoticed. Ilyana has been taught both spells, and will accompany you.” Titania said “

“So Begnion are using us as guinea pigs for testing their spells?” Questioned Lucia

“Begnion has also donated Sigrun and Tanith to us for this mission. They’re the commander and deputy of the Holy Guard, so they’ve certainly got something to lose if this goes south. It shouldn’t though, we’ll certainly have the womanpower for this job! We’ve mapped out our first target as the stronghold on the border, Tor Garen.”

“This is our best opportunity to capture key Daein strongholds with minimal casualties, reducing the burden of our army.” Titania interjected “We’re already significantly outnumbered, have suffered an unacceptable number of casualties so far, and the army’s morale has taken a hit. We need to take calculated risks moving forward to win this war!” The room is quiet, the women clearly apprehensive.

“Daein don’t have all their flanks covered, and their archers will be focused on the skies.” Sigrun pointed out.

Lucia added “This could be an effective strategy, their soldiers will be looking to the horizon, not at the ground. But on that note, why us? I see no men here, unless Ike joins, but who will look after Elincia then?” Said Lucia as she looked to the rest of the group, counting 5 others, Ilyana, Nephenee, Sigrun, Tanith, and Titania.

“The effect only seems to affect women, and takes a lot of energy to cast. So we want to avoid putting too much burden on Ilyana’s shoulders. We also want to avoid sending too many and drawing too much attention.” Titania replied

-
The group meets up as the edge of camp. Ike standing next to a table a box on it. The women look at the box, musing it’s purpose, but nervous at it’s small size. The women stand in front of Ilyana, watching the mage raise her hands as a large pale rune appears on the ground beneath them. Titania feels the ground suddenly start to move, like it’s rising up to her as she feels a warm feeling in her stomach. Shocked, she looks at Ilyana and watches mage slowly grow before her eyes. Her giant form grows until the tiny group only comes up to her ankles, the comparison staggering to the tiny woman as she estimates herself to be about 5 inches tall.

Titania’s eyes follow the titanic mage’s boots up and up, until she comes to the soft pale skin of her knees. As she following her knees, then her thin thighs, she’s brought to her purple skirt. From her perspective, they’re only a few feet from the giantess mage, and the skirt around 30 feet overhead, their angle revealing how short her skirt really is. The mini skirt does nothing to block their view from her white panties, large enough to carry the group but small compared to the giant Ilyana. As they follow her green tunic they are met with distant, yet incredibly large locks of light purple hair. Their eyes reach her pretty face, her eyes notably dazed and unfocused.

The tiny group hear “Woah… This spell takes… a lot from me… I feel really tired… and hungry…” from above. They recoil slightly as the giant Ilyana leans over to inspect them, placing her hands on her knees, casting them in her large shadow.

“You’re all so tiny…” Ilyana boomed from above, the usually quiet mage’s voice unnervingly loud to the tiny women below.

“She’s… Enormous…” Titania gasps

“This is incredible!” Lucia squeaks from behind her.

“Crimeans don’t wear… modest clothing do they…” Sigrun said incredulously, clearly following Titania’s vision.

“I wonder which senate member thought of this…” Tanith said suspiciously

“We’ve prepared some food for you, Ilyana. It might be better for you to shrink first, to make it last longer.” Ike said from behind her.

“Okay… My turn” Ilyana responded

Titania watched the giant raise her hands like she did before, a large field of a rune appeared beneath her giant feet. They watched her form slowly shrink to match theirs.

Ilyana felt a strange warmth from her stomach, followed by a dull ache across her body. Whether this was the effect of the spell, or her casting the spell while hungry she wasn’t sure. She felt light-headed as she stumbled slightly, the booming footsteps shaking the ground beneath her team, but tried to keep her focus on her tiny teammates. She started to worry as it felt as if she was sinking into the ground, her vision slowly lowering, getting closer to her teammates. She finally joined her teammates as she finished roughly eye-level with Lucia.

“This spell is really exhausting…” Ilyana softly mumbles as she stumbles, to be caught by Lucia

“Here you go Ilyana” Boomed from the giant above them, when suddenly a giant apple was placed next to the tiny women, as Ilyana wasted no time in feasting on it.

They heard from above “Okay, everyone in this box, it’ll be the easiest way to transport you all” Ike words thundering down, as the giant placed an enormous box beside them. The tiny women looked at the house-sized box, obviously too tall for them to climb, then back at Ike.

“Oh sorry, I’ll help you inside” Ike followed, as he reached for the woman, gently grabbing them one by one as he places them in the box. His ease of handling the tiny woman causing concern among the tiny task force.

“Will you be taking us there?” Lucia questioned

“No, I need to stay behind and manage the army here. We’ve arranged for someone very competent to escort you there.” Ike responded

They heard the sound of hooves crashing towards them, sounding like a thunderstorm. The sound of feet landing on the ground very audible to the tiny women, then Ike addressed the new giant, “Here you go, make sure they get there safe”

“Don’t worry, a deal’s a deal. I’ll do my part” Titania heard the familiar voice of a man Ike employed multiple times before, the thief Volke, “Take them near the fortress, not too close, not too far.”

“Precisely, they’re very important, I’m counting on you.” Ike said

“Gotcha, don’t worry about it, consider them delivered.” Volke responded

Titania felt slight unease about trusting the assassin, considering how little they could do to stop him at the moment. But he was confident, competent and had a good reputation of devoting himself to one mission, finishing any mission he started. She wondered what his need for gathering gold was, knowing him to be frugal with money and willing to accept any job for gold.

The group felt the box shake as they were gently lifted into the air. Ilyana and Nephenee unable to keep their balance as the rest managed to keep their footing and hang on to the edge of the box.

“Alright, hang on tight” Volke called out as he kicked his horse into action.

They travelled inside the box until…

You have the following choices:

1. Volke delivers them safely

2. Volke delivers them elsewhere...

*Noteb*
3. Volke is ambushed!

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
