Lucina felt like she was falling down, like she'd raced downhill on horseback too fast, but this sensation was like an almost instantaneous version of that that ended just as quickly as it began to wash over her. Left disorientated and diminished, Lucina found herself rubbing her head instinctively and trying to keep herself from falling over.
"C-Careful..!" Robin called out, and caught the dizzy minigirl in his arms just before she took a tumble to the ground.
Robin wasn't sure how to react to seeing the daughter of his best friend made so small, even if had been his own doing. He was not exactly sure how tall the blue-haired girl had been to begin with, never finding ample opportunity to quiz the Lady about her height, but comparing their sizes now, he guessed she had dwindled to being well under 3 feet tall, about 2' 8", if he had to wager a guess.
"Thank you, Robin..." Lucina gasped, shocking herself by how overwhelmed the little shrinking spell made her. She rubbed her eyes and tried to focus. Luckily, her little fainting spell had passed, and she recovered in a second. Robin, meanwhile, was still surprised by how incredible his spell had worked.
"Wow..." Robin let out under his breath. Lucina was like a child in size now, but had retained her grown-up figure. He wasn't aware of his own blush as he watched the tiny young woman adjust to her smaller size. While Robin had indeed tested out the spell before, it was only ever on small animals and insects, using it on a friend like this was something new entirely. It was like making a perfectly proportioned little copy of the Princess of Ylisse, only she was the real deal. She looked so small and precious in her reduced state, he might even go as far as to call her cute, if her were more daring or tact. He could only imagine how big he must look to her right now.
"You can let me go now..." Lucina said, chuckling a little awkwardly. She figured she was only about half of her normal height. It didn't sound like much of a loss in size, but to Lucina it meant the whole world was twice as large. Indeed, she could understand how being so small might make someone, like Robin for example, stare at her in wonder. But he really didn't need to make it so blatant.
"Oh, er, y-yes!" Robin coughed, finding his words through a stumbling sentence. Now well embarrassed, and without thinking, he immediately let go of Lucina completely. She fell to the ground with a quiet thud.
"Ow!" Lucina groaned, rubbing her behind.
"Lucina! Forgive me, I'm so sorry!" Robin apologized to the miniaturized girl. He bent down to pick her back up, but stopped himself just short of giving her a hand. He worried she might take it the wrong way, not to mention she was just so damn small and delicate-seeming, he was afraid he might hurt her.
"I-It's okay... This is... odd, for me, too." Lucina stated. She stared up at his comparatively giant visage, a foolish look on plastered on his goofy face. Lucina chuckled again, covering her mouth. Unlike before, this laugh was genuine. Robin's shy actions made his every movement amusing to the downsized swordswoman. He looked even bigger from the ground, and as a result, even more humorous to her.
"No, I... haha.." Robin caught on to Lucina's reaction to him and laughed with her. He facepalmed himself, and crouched down to the shrunken young woman's level. "You're all right?"
"Yes. I'm smaller, but I'm not so fragile that you'll break me simply by touching me." Lucina told him.
"You're right, forgive me for thinking otherwise, my Lady." Robin sighed, partly in relief, and partly just glad that their awkward little scene was over. He offered his hand to Lucina, who graciously took it, and pulled the littler girl to her feet. Robin was amazed at just how small her hand felt in his, he knew she was not weak by any stretch of the word, but still made sure not to put too much pressure on her hand as he picked her up.
"Come now, Robin, why so formal all of a sudden? Call me Lucina." Lucina insisted, once she was upright.
"Well then, Lucina, how do you feel? Up for some more training?" Robin asked.
Lucina smirked in response. Sure everything was twice as big to her now, and her sudden drop in size had cost her some strength, but not everything was too much for her to handle, including most importantly her Parallel Falchion, which had shrank along with the rest of what she had on her when Robin's shrinking spell took effect. She gripped the hilt of that blade.
"Yes. Let's begin." Lucina's confidence spoke volumes, even as her tiny vocal cords made her sound quite childish when speaking. Robin again found himself blushing as he watched the half-sized girl go to work on one of the few remaining training dummies...
