"Samantha!"
Samantha let out a sigh as she heard her mother's voice reach her from downstairs. She had been enjoying this new book, and right before the cool action part, her mother had decided to interrupt.
"Yes, mummy?" She called back.

Her mother didn't respond, causing Sam to let out an irritated growl. Her mother would call her name and when Samantha responded, she had walked off. Sure, she knew to go downstairs, but she hated how she did it. Why not just come upstairs? Was it so important that she had to move away from her comfortable bed?

Ripping the box open, Sam let out a squeal of delight. The first thing she saw was loads of sweets.
"There's like ten bags!" She realised, counting them out. "And they're all fizzy!"
Despite constant warnings from their mother, Peter still insisted on sending fizzy sweets to Sam. They made her so hyper, and she loved them.

After pulling all the sweets out, Sam reached back into the box. She pulled out a blue t-shirt with a happy penguin on it. She smiled at the penguin, which just happened to be her favourite animal. They were so cute and cuddly...

Putting the t-shirt to the side, Sam reached back into the box. Her hand closed around a small item, which turned out to be a rather bland book. It had no blurb and both covers were completely grey.
"It looks boring..." She complained. "Wonder if the story is any good?"

Flipping to a random page, Sam found herself staring at pictures of...
