Chapter #6

A high school group with Jesse.

"Eh there's a Jesse kid working on a project alone, go join him. He's got permission to use that abandoned shed people keep saying is cursed for some reason so he's probably out there." The slime woman directed her to a building that the school did not use but had yet to repurpose. They say that there was some weird stuff going on and the teacher that used that building hasn't been here in a while. It was frankly ridiculous in Jaqueline's opinion as the barrier would keep things like that from happening. Obviously someone with some sense had decided to work out there to avoid anyone stealing their project idea.

Jaqueline started towards the 'shed' which was more of a classroom separated from the building itself, to find a short green haired boy fiddling with a machine he had hooked up to the building through a window. He was... short, extremely so for a teen, he was almost Vicky's size. She was about to get his attention when... he walked out of the building and around the machine as well. The exact same person, actually there was a couple more now that she was looking for it she noticed one of them to the side of the building waving a device. She hid around the corner and watched the one that had been inside just... walk into the one working on the machine and they merged into each other growing ever so slightly taller until all of them were combined into a still rather short boy but closer to her height than Vicki's.

He started talking to himself "Hmmm, there's nothing wrong with the readings, it's got to just be the coding then maybe-" She came around the corner and he stopped. "Oh uh, h-how can I help you." Jaquie noticed his shirt was green, usually this would indicate that he wasn't very smart but that machine wasn't out there a day or so ago and she doubted it was easy to pay attention to multiple bodies at one time, there was probably a different explanation.

She ignored his trepidation and pushed forward. "I'm here to join your project group, I am required to do one and so I don't want to embarrass my classmates in my grade, I am a genius after all. What are you working on."

He looked back at the machine. "Uh, well it's kind of complicated to explain cause it's like eighty percent theory but basically..."

1. It's a battery that's drawing magic out of the environment. I'm trying to get it to power this other thing I made but it just keeps uh... malfunctioning

2. It's a Supernatural suppression barrier, uh it should be able to negate any magic in a particular area. I don't really have a test subject though so I'm trying to see if it will expel the lingering magic in this building

3. It's uh, well I was trying to make something to help squishies not uh, get squished so much. It's not ready though, I'm getting weird readings.
