My name is Vlad Bloodstone and I am a 15 year old vampire living in the business district. Looking to go to an elite High school for the most prestigious of Vampire's. Of course someone as naturally gifted as me can only be destined for greatness. I have a mother and a father and they are very high upon the Vampire council if I do say so myself. Which of Course makes me even the better fit for the academy. Little did I know that my fate had other plans that day.
" Greetings, common and ordinary youths, prepared to be dazzled as I am about to make my entrance to the most elite of vampire academies here in Mythic City." I said while talking in front of the mirror. Ordinary Mirrors and phones really can't capture the essence of a vampire. But enchanted Mirror's and phone's can literally capture my image for all of those common folks to see. It was during this time that my mother had entered the room with the letter for the most prestigious Vampire Academy in the city. I was so sure I passed the test, yet the look upon my mother's face was complicated at best. It was as if she knew something that would possibly upset me.
" Vlad, we got the letter from the Vampire Academy and..." I interrupted my mother before she could finish speaking. She never like's when I do that but than again someone as magnificent as myself can get away with an interruption or two.
" I am sure they found my to be the most magnificent specimen of a vampire there is, and our begging to let me into their academy. Well I whole heartily accept them groveling at my feet." I said.
" You were not accepted Vlad!" my mother told me flat out. Her way of speaking was direct and to the point. I was in awe at the time. After all how could an Elite Academy of Vampire's decline someone of my greatness?
" How could they decline someone of my greatness? Surely I have proved myself to be worthy of their Academy?" I asked my mother, to which she quickly replied.
" You're not that great Vlad, and you haven't done anything for the Vampire's of the city. So far you have only been living in the shadow of me and your father's accomplishments. It's time you stop promoting yourself and learn to put others before you Vlad. A community needs to work together, and so far you just gloat about how great you are all the time. Yet haven't proved to be great at least according to their letter."
" Your saying I have yet to prove myself to be great? Or helped others. Nonsense I remember the test they gave and I made it through perfectly unharmed." I told my mother, but then she countered my argument of the reason of my nonacceptance.
" You made it unharmed, but that was only because of your teammates protecting you. When it came to endangering your team mates you used them as cannon fodder for all the traps in that test. Which is why you made it unharmed yet your unwilling to take any other blows for your team that you were assigned." My mother said.
" That is their reason, yet I see no reason I shouldn't have been accepted. It a shame though if only they had disliked me on one of my social media pages, I could dislike them too. But alas it was not meant for me to dislike them." I said while I was talking about that my mother groaned as if she was sort of annoyed at me. Yet she still had some more news for me.
" Vlad you are going to Mythic City High School, it is a common high school, but I think it'll do you some good. I told you before you need to learn to put others before yourself, and maybe going to this high school will help you with that." My mother told me, as for myself my reaction to the news of going to some commoner's school was well, Let's just say I was....
