"Sure."
"Great! Anyway, see you two at lunch." Luna heaved herself down another hallway, away from Stephany and Catherine.
They waved at the retreating blob as they continued on through the hallways. David was glad to find out that him and Stephany had almost the same schedule, which meant he just had to follow her around. She was really nice, and he actually was having fun talking with her. He hadn't really had to many friends at high school anyway, and these two seemed really into the same things as him.
Him and Stephany talked about video games through most of their classes. Though, honestly, this was all just a refresher for him since he'd already done these classes a few years ago. At lunch, he couldn't believe the feast that his new friends had brought, though they graciously shared with him some of their fattening food.
The rest of the day passed almost the same as the first half, and soon they were on their way to pick up the game. Fortunately it was only a couple blocks from the school, as he wasn't sure Luna could make it otherwise. She was panting and sweaty by the time they made it, despite how cool the day was. From the game shop, it was a short walk to Luna's house where the three of them played video games and ate snacks late into the evening.
"Did you have fun at your friends?" his mother asked as he stepped into the front door, savoring the smell of diner coming from the kitchen.
"Yeah. We went over to Luna's after school."
"That's good. Well, I just put diner on the table, so you better get some before your sister eats it all. Your dad is working late again, and your brother left on another expedition, so don't worry about saving any for them."
Catherine made his way towards the kitchen, admiring his sister's large frame as he sat across from her. He loaded up a massive plate of lasagna and began shoveling it into his mouth.
"My, your appetite sure has grown since you've been hanging out with Luna and Stephany. If you aren't careful though, you might end up like them."
Rose rolled her eyes as his mother shot her a look. Rose resumed eating with renewed vigor before loading another serving onto her plate, causing her mother to sigh and leave the kitchen.
A few minutes later, Rose had cleared her plate and went up to her room. A moment later, the sound of blaring music echoed from upstairs as Rose shut herself in for the night. It didn't take long for Catherine to finish his plate as well. He made his way up towards his room, shutting the door behind him. He glanced at his desk, then to his bed. What to do?
