Dylan watched as Ethan slowly began to shrink, but he didn't shrink down as much as he thought he would. Due to the travel distance the beam probably lost most of it's power. The boy shrunk down to about two feet tall.
Ethan had no idea what was happening to him. One moment he was playing with his ball, the next he is only half his former height. Everything looked so much bigger and his clothes had slipped off, leaving him only dressed in his oversize shirt. When Dylan was sure no one was watching, he rushed over to the shrunken boy.
"What's going on?" Ethan asked as he saw the giant boy approach. He was so occupied with his new stature he didn't even think of being frightened.
"Don't worry, I'll help you," Dylan pocketed the gun and reached for Ethan.
Before Ethan could protest, Dylan lift him up and carried him back home. The shrunken boy was surprisingly light, Dylan guessed he could carry him with one arm if he wanted to. However he wanted to get home as quickly as possible. Someone might see them.
Closing the front door behind him with his foot, they entered Dylan's home. The house was quiet. At first glance no one else seemed to be home. Dylan headed up the stairs.
