The Tome of Weight

No one knows the true origin of the Tome of Weight. The book itself seems ageless, its cover made out of a soft leather which somehow seems to resist all attempts to damage the book. Within it are many pages, with the words inside always written in a language that its reader can understand. Why such an old and indestructible relic only contains spells to make people fatter is but one of the mysteries about the book.

Since the Tome is ancient, it has had many owners across the millennia in which it has existed. Listed below are but a few of their names:

- Delphina, who lived during the time of Classical Greece. She discovered the Tome not long after being inducted into one of the many Mystery Cults in that era, and viewed the book as nothing less than a divine revelation of the Goddess of Plenty that her cult worshipped. Will Delphina use the book to advance her cult's goals, or only just her own?

- Hilda, a peasant girl who lived in medieval Europe. She found the Tome in an old Roman ruin not far from her family's farm. Having a book of magic would, of course, put her at risk of being tried and executed as a witch by her friends and neighbors. However, is it also the only way for her to escape the dreary serf's life that she'd otherwise be destined to live?

- Sasha Boxer, a senior in a modern day USA high school. Ostracized for her awkwardness and chubbiness, Sasha retreated to the world of books. She bought the Tome from an antique shop, and soon discovered that its powers were real. Will she use the book to try and make friends, get revenge on her tormentors, or indulge in her own hidden fantasies?
