A small gust of air leaves your nose, as you gather yourself after the fall and ridicule yourself for for a lack of awareness.
Ouch. Your ass is stinging up a storm.
Throwing your self pity aside, you focus on the burst of spiked red hair, accompanied with a sharp-toothed smile and a small scar near the top of a sparkling eye.
Oh, I know him! Or, well I've seen him. He's the one who matched and beat that steel kid from U.A... Tetsushima? Wait, no, that doesn't sound right. I'll ask before making an absolute fool of myself.
The Hero Course student pipes up, bringing you out of your thoughts, with, "Hey, dude, sorry about that! I should've been watchin' where I was walking. Hella unmanly for me to zone out like that, heh." The grin he bears is tainted with a mixture of sheepishness, yet he still stays bright.
Wait, he's still waiting. You should probably say something.
"O-oh, don't worry about it! I'd say it's completely my fault, but I feel like you wouldn't accept that; s-so let's just settle on 'we both could've been a bit more careful.", you stutter back to life. His face parts even further as his smile beams with the power of a thousand suns. Despite the deep-set sadness that weighed you down since the quirk you were supposed to have never came in, you find your lips qurking up in return. His enthusiasm is terribly contagious.
Throwing a glance over his body, you take in his appearance. He doesn't seem to have changed all that much since you last saw him on TV, fighting in the Sports Festival. With bright red hair- probably gelled, maybe dyed as well?-, he has a friendly set to his face, yet you can see he was standing in a certain stance, firm and ready to defend. His outfit in no way drapes over his body; the strong muscles adorning his body having have taken upon the role of filling the space under out. U.A. had been training him well.
U.A., training, heroes... oh!
"A-ah, you go to U.A., right?" You already knew this, but felt a bit awkward at the thought of segwaying into a conversation so bluntly. Was that normal? Man, you've been stuck inside for far too long. The question, you realize too late, may seem a bit suspicous, a deep curl of regret settling in your stomach, watching him shift his foot back to slide more into his stance. Despite the mild show of aggression, maybe he didn't realize he did that, his joyful expression stays. Another small lick of anger at the villains, who'd made him react like that, flares.
"Aw, hell yeah, plus ultra!", a fist pumps into the air, as if to hype up an already hyped-up school. "Is there something ya need?"
"Well- I was invited to check out the Culture Festival by a friend, but I can't- I- Yeah, no, I have no idea where it is."
"Oh! No worries, I got lost on my first time coming there, too." Any previous suspicion already having been forgotten, he follows it up with, "If you want, I can take ya there!" Oh, thank you, whichever merciful diety out there that decided to help a tortured soul out. Why is this place so big I want to cry.
You do as any horribly lost pedestrian would, and accept the help with speed. After letting a chuckle, the energetic boy realizes- "Oh my gosh, I didn't even give you my name- Kirishima Eijirou, that's the name! Red Riot, that's my hero game!" That was adorable.
"Ah, my name is..."
