As the Shanghai exited warp space, they came across the pirate threat. The view screen showed a distinctive ship, known to belong to the daughters of eve. An all female band of pirates, the daughters of eve sought to enslave males and those women who supported the supposedly patriarchal earth government. In truth, they were merely another variation of zealot rebel who used things like dogma to embrace there baser natures. In this case they believed that since Eve ate the apple first women were smarter. Avery engaged in battle with the pirates, preparing to enter legends along with her crew.

On the Serpent's Apple, the ship of the daughters of eve, there captain Skara, a full bodied woman who looked more a super model, said to her first mate, "Mary, the time has come to use our secret weapon." Mary, a woman with brown hair and a military air around her, nodded and headed to the strange device.
This weapon was one of the three hundred, the weapons that brought about the end of the ancients. The ancients had all gone mad with power and grown decadant and perverted. This particular device was the personal project of an ancient with what humans would call an ABDL fetish. The device unleashed a pulse that turned everything childish, regressing all beings into adult baby or toddler versions of themselves. there clothes and minds became infantile while there physical appearance remained unchanged (no losing hair and teeth). When the daughters of eve lucked into the artifact by finding an archeological expedition affected by the device, believing it would reduce all men and all women who didn't have there twisted worldview into the helpless idiots they deserved to be.
But the pirates were making a mistake. A recurring theme, a unifier of the weapons, was the arrogance of the ancients being there undoing. In this case the female ancient who built the device forgot to include usage differentiator. In layman's terms, the ancient doomed herself to babyhood alongside her victims. Mary realized this when the light of the device caused her hair to turn into pigtails, her clothes became a pink dress and her legs gave out, leading to a poff sound as she landed on her diaper.

all three ships are engulfed in the babyfing light, but the weapon is old. maybe the psychic inhibitor malfunctions, meaning that avery and others remember they aren't babies or toddlers. They will be dressed like them, unable to use the potty and all such things, but they will be able try to make everyone big again. Or maybe the weapon functions perfectly (say what you will about the ancients, but they built there stuff to last).
