A guard heard the noise and came to investigate

Before either could say anything further, the green dragon clad in a guard uniform entered the dungeon. "So I weren't hearing things." He snarled as he watched the azure dragon closely.

The azure dragon smirked as he set Ashe to the side and turned his attention to the guard. "Sir Alberon, was it? Trust me, you don't want to get involved in this. Just say when you got here, we weren't."

Alberson snarled as he drew his lance and rushed at the azure dragon. The fight was swift, as the green dragon dropped to the ground. The azure dragon dusted himself off, his scales a few new scars from the fight but nothing out of the ordinary. He turned his attention back to the small human. Ashe stepped forward. The azure dragon said nothing as he scooped Ashs up in his claw then made his way down the hall.

They paused, having to take cover in a small inlet within the hallway. As they waited, watching the scene ahead, the azure dragon sensed the humans demeanor shift. They saw the kitchen staff carrying the royal feast out for the king. While it was impossible to tell exactly how and where, the azure dragon knew he smelled cook human flesh.

Ashe could tell they were too late. He completely shut down not caring about what happened next. Tears fell from his eyes, unable to contain his emotions.

One of the dining staff heard the subtle sniffle of someone crying and moved to investigate. The azure dragon cursed in his head as he saw the approaching dragon. He had an idea but either needed to ditch the human or put the tiny being somewhere inside him.
