You are Morgan Ebonscald, a black dragon with occasional shimmers of purple in your scales. Your underbelly is dark purple, silver eyes, large wings and red spade tip at the end of your tail. Your attire was fairly modest, a dark blue longcoat with holes for your wings, blue jeans, wrist band on your left wrist and red sash around your waist, and of course the necklace you wore as a lucky charm. Truth be told, your necklace doubled up as a way to carry a human should the desire ever come up.
It was a late night and you were up late working on a case. Humans had been disappearing all over the city. And not just in the dragon distract. Sure many of your kin didn't care but you did.
You rubbed your eyes tiredly as you read through all the known cases. Every report detailed a different human and where they were last seen. Past that there was usually not much to go off of.
You heard movement near your feet and looked down. A smile formed on your face as you saw your boyfriend trying to climb onto your foot. "Need a hand, Lukas?" You ask as you watched him struggle.
Lukas smirked. "No, no, I got this." He responds as he finally manages to pull himself onto your big toe. He sits there catching his breath for a bit.
You shake your head and leaning over, taking him in your claw and setting him on your chest. He looks at the case files sprawled out across the coffee table and looks at you. "More cases?" He asks, to which you nod. Lukas was worried every day, fearing he might be next. And you worried to. That was why you had to solve the disappearances. You felt Lukas snuggle into your chest. "What if I'm next?" He whimpers.
"Won't happen. I'll protect you." You said softly. You casually look down at him and smile. "Get some sleep Lukas, no need for you to be up all night with me." You say as you gently picked up your boyfriend.
He was clad in his light blue t shirt, and his shorts. Everything was blue. His eyes were like sapphires and even his hair was dark blue. He yawns as you tuck him into his sleeping spot for the night.
You chuckle, gently rocking your snoozing boyfriend to sleep within your bellybutton. With a sip from your coffee you go back to reading the reports and case files. There was no pattern that you could see.
None of the humans had anything in common. And none were in the same places when they vanished. You shook your head and decided to get some rest before your shift in six hours. It was going to be a boring patrol day but it meant you could think about the missing persons cases.
