You may have heard about bed bugs but what about the tickling variety? Thanks to various inputs by the upcourse of victims to the tickling variant, as well as tremendous research done by the one and only Dr Rayne, we have gotten a good grasp on what these strange creatures are.
These are a fairly new evolved form of bedbug that seems to be able to feed off of the dead skin cells and interestingly the sweat of mammals, more specifically human sweat, though it isn't limited to just that. It is believed that the reason for this weird change is due to the recent Covid-19 virus, in order for it to adapt in this new environment an intake of sweat allow this adapted variant to better combat this infamous virus. [Further research is needed to figure out why this is the case]
In order to better obtain this sweat, and also to obtain it's skin cell intake it has developed drill like teeth, these do not penetrate the human skin but do cause an intense vibration as it suckles onto flesh. This is done to tickle the host's sensitive skin, exciting the nerve cells to cause the gargalesis response. It is believe this is because when tickled, an increased level of sweat production due to this triggering a panic response and intense laughter from it's host. This allows it to have it's intake of sweat.
They can also release a high level hormone while suckling your flesh called: 'cortisol'. This will wake it's hosts up to awaken them to their tickling demise as they are forced to undergo the gargalesis response allow the increase of sweat production the body creates.
They also have six feet which suction cup adaptations. When it finds it's mounting area, it will stick to the flesh to allow it to not be interrupted from it's feeding time. It is as tough as super glue and you will find it impossible to rip off, not to mention it's tough exoskeleton, you will find it impossible to crush. This essientially means when it has decided that you are it's prey, it isn't getting off until it's feeding time is over and it unsticks from it's host.
It will target bare skin out of the coverings, it seems smart enough not to target non-tickle zones. It mainly targets the feet due to this is bare. However it still can enter under the covers and clothing but usually goes with the lower effort options. This means it will go in socks, shirts, pants and undergarments. It will target the mammal's main sweaty regions as well as tickle regions. These being: feet, armpits, belly, bellybutton, butt, crotch.
It is found within more tropical regions being; Central America, Northern Australia, Southern Asia. However are starting to expand more and more
Why does it mainly target humans. Although other mammals produce a gargalesis response, we have the greatest sweat production, the most exposed skin as we do not have fur covering and the best quality food to them.
