The quartet of women laughed as they made their way towards their first destination, a Korean Nail Salon.
The women who greeted upon entry by a friendly middle aged Korean woman who informed them it would be a 20 minute wait.
That ladies sat around chatting, spreading the latest gossip about their families, husbands and boyfriends. Despite the fact that she was doing something she loved with her best friends, Debbie's mind was still preoccupied by thoughts of the shrink ray.
"Ok we're ready for you all," one of the employees said, and sat them down in four chairs. Debbie realized that her chair was closest to a back hallway in the salon.
A young woman who was probably 21 at the oldest, sat in front of Debbie. "Hello, I'm Li," she said with a smile and brought out everything she needed to start working on Debbie's feet.
Despite making occasional conversation with her friends and Li, Debbie was in a deep state of relaxation from her pedicure. She looked down at Li in between painting her toes a lovely shade of purple and rubbing her feet occasionally while each nail dried.
"Would you like to soak your feet in our hot bath," Li asked Debbie, as she was the first one done with her pedicure.
"You bet I would," Debbie answered with a smile.
Li led Debbie down the hallway she previously noticed and Debbie noticed a comfy looking chair with a bubbling foot bath. "Interesting," Debbie thought to herself.
She laid back in the chair and enjoyed the feeling of Li rubbing her feet and the jacuzzi working its magic. Looking down, she saw Li was totally preoccupied. This gave Debbie an interesting opportunity.
She reached behind her back for the shrink ray. She gripped it and pulled the trigger. There was a bright flash but what happened?
