Steve walked left the garage and walked back into his house. It was still very dark and there were a few hours until the sun came up.
He glanced down at the shrink ray again. His scientific curiosity was starting to get the better of him. He had not yet tested the shrink ray yet, and with his family asleep and upstairs this could be his premier opportunity.
"Ok, here goes nothing," Steve said as he aimed the shrink ray at himself. He installed a safety measure, ensuring the shrink ray would shrink proportionally with that user, as long as it remained in their hand while it was in use.
In the middle of the kitchen at 2:00 a.m., Steve pulled the trigger. He quickly began to dwindle in size, until he was only a mere 1/4 inch tall, about the size of an ant. While it took his eyes several seconds to adjust to the darkness at their new size, new quickly realized a problem.
"Fuck no!" he yelled. Steve quickly realized that he had let go of the shrink ray. It was currently sitting on the counter at its normal size. It may have well been on top of the Sears Tower at his size.
"Ok don't panic," Steve said, trying to reassure himself and piece together a plan. "I'll just wait here till someone comes down, and they'll notice me and the shrink ray."
It seemed like a good plan on paper. As it turned out, Steve wouldn't even have to wait that long. In the darkness he heard a loud crashing sound and the floor start to shake. He could see the silhouette of two huge bare feet approaching. Then th kitchen light turned on, temporarily blinding him.
When Steves vision returned he saw one of his family members grabbing a late night snack. Who was it?
