That morning, Nicole woke up bright and early, ready to test the device. She was very happy it was a Saturday and she didn't have to leave the house for school.
She walked downstairs barefoot and still in her PJ's. After saying good morning to both of her parents, she poured herself some cereal into a bowl and added milk. This instantly made her think of Honey I Shrunk the Kids and how cool that would be.
Glancing at her parents, she reached for the shrink ray in her back pocket. With her two older siblings still asleep it was just her and then in the dining room. Her dad had his head buried in the newspaper with his cup of coffee, while her mom was staring out the window drinking some orange juice.
Nicole temporarily excused herself to slip off into the kitchen. Lifting up the shrink ray, she pulled the trigger. There was a bright flash, who ended up shrinking to the size of an ant?
