The realm is currently at peace. It has been years since the Baratheons usurped the Iron Throne from the Targaryens. King Robert's extravagance has opened up quite a few opportunities for those seeking employment.

The west in particular has much to offer. Of course, you already know that. That is why you selected it, after all. That, and your secret, internal desire.

As you nudge Aerion down the western road, you begin to contemplate where you should go. For now, you can simply follow the road. But sooner or later, you'll need to decide on a final destination.

If you continue along the Kingsroad, you'll eventually pass the Trident. From there, you could turn northwest and make for Riverrun, the ancestral home of House Tully. You are a native of the Riverlands, after all.

Then again, a change of setting could improve your chances in both your pursuits. If you bypass Riverrun and continue to follow the Kingsroad due west, you'll enter the Westerlands, where House Lannister reigns.

The Lannisters are said to be the richest of all families in the Seven Kingdoms. If so, a visit to their ancestral home of Casterly Rock might yield some promising leads.

On the other hand, there is nothing that is keeping you on the mainland, either. You might travel to Lannisport, instead. From there, you could find a boat or ship that would sail for the Iron Islands. A seafaring society with hardly any fertile land could use a man of many trades such as you.

So... what is it going to be?
