Atsushi had been prepared to relax and munch on his favorite snacks. As he approached his bed, he heard his name being squeeked and it sounded awfully familiar. Looking down at his bed he saw a speck waving at him. Gazing closer, he saw it not only reassembled a human but it looked like his old friend Chiba!
Widening his eyes and dropping his snacks, Atsushi croched down making his head leveled with the covers. "Chi-chin?", he asked shocked.
Chiba approached the purple giant, trying to keep his tears in. "Yea....It's me Atsushi."
However as Chiba approached the face, Atsushi suddenly scooted away. "Atsushi?"
"Chi-chin, I'm dangerous enough normally. But your small I could do worse.", Atsushi explained but suddenly he noticed Chiba sniffing and holding his arms out.
"Atsushi please! I just want to be with my friends! You aren't a giant monster, you're the big friend that defended me from bullies and patted my head. Please don't avoid me again!", Chiba finally broke down, falling to his knees and crying into his hands.
Atsushi stared stumped. He thought of all the nice memories he had with Chiba. All the times the boy gave him sweets and rode on his back. But as he got more skilled, he was plagued by bad thoughts. He didn't want his power to hurt Chiba.
It didn't help that he got nightmares.

Atsushi stood dressed in his Yõsen basketball uniform. In front of his shoe stood a small speck. Chiba was smaller only 1 cm tall. He called up to Atsushi who stretched into the heavens.
Atsushi looked down, but Chiba was struck with fear. The purple giant was smirking down at him. He suddenly spoke.
"I'll crush you".
Atsushi brought up his foot and Chiba could only watch in horror as the sole was brought down on him.

Atsushi shuttered, remembering that dream made him want to always check the bottom of his shoes.
Still looking at his crying friend Atsushi decided to put aside those thoughts. Scooting over to Chiba, Atsushi gently used a finger to rub the tiny's Back, causing him to look up.
Smiling Atsushi spoke. "Chi-chin I won't leave you. I'll be as careful as I can, so stop crying. I like you more with a smile."
Chiba nodded before wipping his eyes and smiling. "Ok."
