Jake sighed watching his friend ted get driven away with his new family. He was happy that ted could live with a family, but in the end he was alone at the orphanage.
Ted was the only kid his age who would befriend him after all the others ignored him and became like a brother to him. He stayed by his side and promised they would be a family for the rest of their lives. But the couple that came to the orphanage was only looking for one child and although ted was going to refuse, jake encouraged him as he didn't want to hold ted back from getting a family. So jake smiled and hugged ted goodbye and only after he left did his tears start falling.
"I guess some kids are meant to alone".
Lying down on his bed jake looked through his book of animals and remembered how he and ted would always talk about how some animals had a tighter family bond then humans.
Closing his eyes jake drifted to sleep thinking "I wish I had a family".
When he opened his eyes jake was shocked at the setting before him. Everything was huge!
