That was the sign above this decently maintained restaurant. One of those fast food chains that was slowly taking over your city. You didn't really like their food, though you'd eaten there a handful of times when no better options were available or you hadn't time to cook. Of course, it wasn't really your food style
You've never been a health nut, constantly bragging about your chiseled physique and strict workout regimen, but you cared about how you looked and what you ate.
You sigh. You have probably the same thoughts of everyone's working in these type of fast food. Nothing to lose, well except some dignity. After another moment of hesitation you decide to open the door.
McChub really is like all other fast food restaurants: 12 pairs of identical booths, intense smell of fries and grilled burgers, people screaming at cashiers.
A young guy and a shorter girl dressed in the orange uniform are serving at the moment. You patiently wait in queue till it's your turn.
"Welcome to McChub" the guy says with a forced smile "How can I help you today? The new burger is on sale"
You give a faintly smile back:"Actually I'm here for the job. The unemployment office should have already spoke with your manager"
"Ah you're the new guy!" he exclaims with a small laugh "We didn't know if you were a guy or a girl yet and we were betting. You've just earned me 20 bucks!" he laughes again "Come, go around" he continues gesturing the door near the counter.
You approach the door while the guy opened it from inside:"I'm Matt, welcome aboard!" he says showing his fist. You bump it faintly, trying to smile.
"Come, Jessica is in the office now..."Managament job"" he says gesturing the quotation marks.
You follow him in the back on the store while he shows you the way around:"This here is the kitchen, this here the bathroom. Ah, that's the back door..." he stops "Usefull for a smoke once in a while" he says pushing his elbows on your chest "or even something else" he says smiling and rising his eyebrows "...aaand this here is Madame Jessica's office. The off-limit space" he whispers then knocks on the door.
"Yes?" you hear a woman's voice inside.
"I'm sorry to disturb you Ma'am but the new guy is here"
"....Hold *munch* *munch* on" she replies. You hear some sounds and drawers being pushed, then a cough "Well..send him in"
