Dinner

I'm going to die, I'm going to die, I'm going to die, Lauren thought over and over to herself unable to find the strength to knock on the door.

She finally did it met with a tall, balding man, presumably Mr. Knox.

Soon an older women comes by his side which she would have to guess was Dani's mother then sharing skin tone and eye color.

"Who are you?" Lauren looked at the bouquet of flowers in her hand trying to muster up some courage her her normally coward personality.

"Your g-guest sir." Lauren internally cursed herself for stuttering.

"I highly doubt that, you're a girl, not a boy." Lauren didn't answer and just looked down at the ground again.

"Hey Laur." Lauren looked up happy to be able to hand the flowers to someone. "Thank you!" Dani gratefully took them.

"Danielle. Who is this? I thought your boyfriend was coming." Dani and Lauren both cringed at the word.

"This is my girlfriend, Lauren." Mr. Knox's face turned red as he turned his blazing gaze at Lauren.

"Get. Out. Now." Lauren...
