This choice: The Keaton began inhaling • Go Back...Chapter #4Link vs Keaton by: Unknown Midna watched the whole battle. The twilight princess was interested the whole time because this was an actual challenge. Link kept swinging his sword, doing the best he could to bring down this fox. He was doing damage to it, but it wasn't much. As the shrunken hero fought, the Keaton decided he was hungry and started to suck air in, along with the hero. Link tried to stand his ground, but was quickly pulled into the dark slimy cave.
"Ooh, becoming a treat! I wonder how he'll get out of this one, if he does." Midna said curiously. She concentrated and had an internal investigation. The Keaton was toying with Link, tossing him around, getting a taste of him.
"Oh this is great, I can't believe we're going to be devoured!" Ezlo complained. Link started to think quickly as the furry creature tilted its head back, about to swallow the hero. Link started to go down, but didn't fight it, making Midna more curious. Once Link was in the throat, he struggled and pulled out his sword, getting it stuck. The Keaton suddenly put his paws to his throat, panicking. It started to cough, stopping Link's progress to the stomach. Link the struggled to reach his new gust jar, hoping to blow air in the throat, hurting the Keaton even more. That wasn't necessary though as the monster collapsed of exhaustion, disappearing and releasing the tiny hero and his companion.
"Well what do you know. Link was actually able to defeat it." Though Link couldn't see it, Midna started to clap slowly for him. She then snapped her fingers and summoned her two wolves. "My friends, I want you to go to the Minish portal. Link will try to become big again, but I want that delayed. If he tries to get past you and use it, feel free to scare or even taste him." Midna said and teleported away. April and May quickly rushed over to a portal. May went to the first one Link found, and April went to the new one Link was headed for.
As for Midna, she went to Hyrule town to have a little fun. She looked around until she saw the Hurdy-Gurdy man giving out kinstones. She sent a magic wave targeting the kinstones he had, and any in the world, and changed their effect to something more unusual. Midna then saw Anju and her house and gave a big smile. She knew that the baby chicks would go after Link, but it was a little disappointing to her that they didn't do much. Midna concentrated and made the chicks stronger and hungrier.
"Good, now if any Cucco sees tiny Link, they will want to eat him. If cuccos see big Link, they will try to sit on him. Oh, and I can't forget the change I made earlier." She said, referring to the fact that everybody will now be aware of shrunken Link, and be more crueler to him. Midna leaned against a wall and looked to see how her challenger was doing.
Link was still shrunken down, trying to get to the portal. April growled at him, making sure he didn't take one step closer. Midna could tell that her wolf friend wanted Link.
"April, you may taste him. Just be careful and don't eat him." Midna said. April jumped toward Link, landing on him and catching him off guard. The female wolf licked Link slowly, he tasted good. After a minute of covering Link in saliva, the wolf ran away, heading to May. Link slowly got up and used the portal. After a while, he got to Hyrule town and…  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
