Still overwhelmed by the transformation, Bulma took a minute to respond to the group's android. "You'll need to undergo a little modifications to participate but don't worry I've got something special for you 18."
"Let me guess judging by the absurd title of this ridiculous tournament, I'm going to have to put on weight."18's lack of enthusiasm was quite evident in her voice.
"Just enough to satisfy that cow Vados, honestly with your strength you shouldn't feel it. In fact after my mechanical improvements, your extra weight will feel incredible." the blue haired saiyan assured, confidently putting her hands on her hips.
18 shrugged, placing her hand on her forehead. "What are you going to do? Make me eat excessive amounts of high calorie foods?"
"Actually its something far more beneficial for the tournament, something that will even improve your combat prowess." Bulma than pulled out some schematics. "I managed to pilfer these from his lab all those years ago."
"What is that?" asked the now intrigued android.
Bulma arched her eyebrows in an expression that implied a strong sense of confidence. "Heh heh These are blueprints from Dr Gero. I've already read them and made a few adjustments to suit your body."
"Really? How?" 18 crossed her arms feeling some sort of apprehension at the name of Dr Gero.
"Look whose suddenly interested." Bulma cracked a smile. "Well you should be, because I've added an extension to one of Dr Gero's machines which will endow you with the ability to absorb ki energy and blasts alike."
18's eyes opened and dropped her arms "That does seem useful."
"It is! Now if you come with me I'll lay you down in the machine which will send radio waves through you that'll rearrange you ki storage deposits allowing them to absorb."
18 followed Bulma whose tail was swaying freely. As Bulma described, 18 underwent the procedure, laying down while some machine scanned her. The scan made 18's body tingle, especially in her abdomen.
"That does it." Bulma chirped.
18 got out from the device and twitched her fingers. "I think I feel it. Yes my hands feel like sponges now, almost like they want to consume ki."
"Well I did amplify the intensity. You could literally consume a fully charged kamehameha wave." bragged Bulma whose tail was still wagging behind her.
"Wow" uttered 18 mesmerized by the power in her hands.
"Okay Ladies!" Bulma shouted "We've got only four days to ready our bodies for this tournament of flab, so we need to train hard. We may be strong now but we need to master our new powers and learn how to work together."
Videl clenched her fists in agreement "Yeah universe 6 won't know what hit 'em."
"Yeah bring them on!" Chichi bolstered.
18 expressed her support through a quiet but spirited grin.
"Now that's what I want to see girls!" Bulma praised "But before we start anything, we must do the most important part of our preparations...Eat tons of FOOD!"
