Finally, as you kept climbing the hill, the sight of a familiar blue-haired girl caught your eye.
Hearing your footsteps, the girl, who was named Lana, turned around; seeing you approaching, she smiled.
"Ah, there you are!" she greeted you.
You replied with a smile of your own.
Lana was the captain of Akala Island, in Alola, and you were here to face her trial; it hadn't been particularly hard so far, you recalled.
When you got here and met the captain for the first time, she had asked you to help her investigate some 'abnormal' splashes in a nearby lake.
The splashes, as you discovered after searching around on a Lapras Lana lent you, were caused by a few Wishiwashi; after driving them away, a laughing Lana admitted that it had all been a big joke and that you weren't helping her 'investigate', you were really undergoing her trail. Not only that, but she also told you that all was left for you to do was defeat the Totem Pokemon to complete the trial.
Then, as she began leading you to the place where you would face your final challenge, it randomly began to rain.
"Weird." you had commented.
"Nah, not really." Lana had replied with a cheeky smile,
"Did you know that Brooklet Hill is actually where a Legendary Pokemon lives?" she said; then, as your eyes went wide, Lana continued,
"That's right! The Legendary Kyogre lives in these waters! I bet all this rain is just their ability! Amazing, right!?"
You recalled having opened your mouth to answer, before noticing Lana's grin. From that, you could tell that the blue-haired captain had been messing with you again.
"Yeah, right." you replied sarcastically.
Lana pouted.
"Aw... I almost fooled you there, didn't I?" she spoke, before shrugging, adopting a cheerful look again,
"C'mon, I'll be waiting for you up ahead! Don't be late!"
And with that, she ran off, only for you to find her several minutes later, waiting in front of the lake.
"Ah, there you are!"
You took your place beside her. She gave you a warm smile.
"You've come so far so quick, that's impressive!" she praised. Then, she adopted a determined smile,
"But, you're not done yet. There's still one more thing for you to do, and that's defeating the Totem Pokemon!" she repeated, pointing her finger to some point in the middle of the lake; there, among the small splashes caused by the droplets of rain, the water was shaking furiously.
You were sure you could see a huge, sinister shadow beneath the water, which could only mean that the Totem Pokemon was something much bigger than a Wishiwashi.
Still, you weren't going to back down.
"Sure thing!" you replied.
Lana moved aside.
"That's the spirit!" she said cheerfully,
"Good luck!"
She said nothing more. Instead, she watched in silence as you summoned the Poke Ride Lapras that's been given to you by the same Lana; eagerly, you hopped onto Lapras' back, letting the large Pokemon take you to where the splashes of water were huge.
And then, as you approached, the Totem Pokemon decided to reveal themselves; as you expected, it wasn't a Wishiwashi.
It was about a hundred Wishiwashi!
All of them grouped together like that had a much more sinister appearance, and you could literally feel the huge amount of power they emanated.
As expected of Totem Pokemon, but you weren't going to let this scare you, you thought as you reached for a Pokeball; sadly, the Totem Wishiwashi had other plans.
Before you could call out a Pokemon, the Totem shot a large amount of water from its mouth, hitting you with such strength that you got knocked out; as you fell back onto Lapras' shell, you heard muffled cries, the sound of water, the rain hitting your face and then... darkness.
--
"Oh my, Lapras, where is he?"
Hearing that voice, you started regaining consciousness, but didn't wake up fully until you heard someone gasping loudly nearby.
Opening your eyes, you discovered that you were staring at the blue ones of Lana. However, there was something wrong about her, you noted: the captain of Brooklet Hill was gigantic!
"W-What happened to you!?" Lana exclaimed upon noticing that you were awake.
"I could ask you the same thing!" you replied, upon noticing that you were sitting in the middle of her palm,
"You're huge!"
Despite the circumstances, Lana, albeit carrying a shocked expression, answered calmly.
"Um... no. You're just really... really tiny."
Hearing that, you took your first look around, discovering that Lana wasn't lying: everything around you was huge, it wasn't just the captain that had grown.
"W-W-What happened to me!?" you yelled, your gaze shooting back to the now gigantic blue-haired girl.
"I don't know!" she replied, tilting her head,
"Look... can you tell me what happened back there?"
You thought for a moment.
"Well... I was about to fight the Totem Pokemon... they attacked me though... I-I think I fainted." you explained, then rose your head, looking at Lana questioningly,
"... Was this part of the trial?"
Lana shook her head.
"At all." she replied,
"Though this is pretty interesting... maybe it should be."
"Lana!"
How could she joke at a time like this!?
"Sorry, sorry," the giantess chuckled awkwardly, before putting on a pensive expression,
"Hmm... could it be some kind of Z-Move...? Perhaps Wishiwashi used some of their power and did this to you..."
You couldn't believe what you were hearing.
You came here to face a trial and you were going to leave, tinier that any of your Po-
A chill ran down your spine.
Your Pokemon!
Quickly, you hurried to check on your Pokeballs to see if you had lost any; luckily, they were all still in place, causing you to sigh in relief.
"... So what am I supposed to do now?" you asked Lana, your gaze going back to her.
Lana thought for a moment, then spoke,
"Hold on..."
