You Took Too Long! A Security Guard Appears!

“Hey!” Comes a call from down the hall… down the same direction which the ‘SECURITY OFFICE’ arrow points towards. Not a second later, the sounds of footsteps begin ringing out from that very direction, growing closer and closer at brisk pace.

Muscles stiffening up immediately, you freeze in place and force yourself to remain focused on the sign, mentally praying that the owner of that voice is calling to someone else close by and will simply pass you. Unfortunately, the footsteps come to a stop right next to you.

“You alright there, sir?” They ask, undoubtedly to you. “You’re looking pretty lost…”

After a few seconds – and a fearful gulp you hope was too quiet for them to hear – you muster just enough strength to creak your head towards the individual addressing you.

Standing maybe a foot away from you, with the word ‘SECURITY’ printed across their shirt, is…
