Chapter #8Tiny in the Locker Room by: Haro-Haze   It had been a few weeks since Courtney first disclosed her secret identity to Yolanda Mendez, who has since become the new Wildcat. In that time, the two high school girls had grown rather close to one another, going on covert missions together, formulating strategies, and training together as young superheroes.
However, today would be a first in their blossoming friendship as Courtney planned to join Yolanda's after-school workout in the weight room after classes were over for the day.
When the final bell ran, Courtney walked straight towards the Girls Locker Room, finding it empty upon her arrival. She set her bag down inside a top locker and was about to get changed into some gym clothes she brought from home when suddenly she experienced fatigue.
The young blonde covered her eyes, experiencing an intense headache that lasted no more than a few seconds before it began to fade. However, by the time she was able to open her eyes, Courtney noticed a sudden change in her surroundings.
The lockers that were only a foot taller than her a minute ago now towered over her like 400-foot-tall buildings. Most likely, this meant that Courtney was now as tiny as a bug. She wasn't as small as an ant mind you, but she was definately no more than an inch tall.
Her bag, and by extension, her cell phone was on a shelf too high up for her to reach, leaving her no hope of calling Yolanda for help. Next time, she'd be sure to drop her bag inside one of the lockers on the ground in case anything like this ever happened again.
However, this only raised the question of who shrunk her in the first place? The Injustice Society were prime candidates, but according to Pat, none of them had the powers or resources to make this happen. Although, it wasn't unusual for them to surprise the budding alliance of the new JSA so she couldn't rule them out as suspects.
Courtney turned around and looked for anything she could use to help get anyone's attention, anything she could climb or hide under for safety. But her thought process was suddenly interrupted by a loud bang, not far away from where she was standing on the floor. It was only on the other side of some lockers, but that sound alone sent shivers up, and down her spine, someone was walking into the locker room with her, maybe even Yolanda.
The inch-tall hero in training cowered like a mouse, terrified as she kept looking left and right, wondering who was walking into the locker room. The booming sensation of footsteps traveled through the ground and up Courtney's legs, making the tiny blonde weak in the knees.
Who walks into view?
1. Yolanda Montez. Courtney is relieved at first and runs towards Yolanda without thinking, nearly getting herself stepped on when she tries to call Yolanda's name. Can Courtney get her attention by climbing Yolanda without getting squished under her best friend's footwear?
2. Cindy Burman. Courtney, horrified by the sight of a 300 foot tall Cindy and runs to hides under the bench. But Cindy does something that unknowingly forces Courtney out into the open. Potentially to be squished flat by the sadistic Cindy.
3. Cindy Burman and Jenny Williams. Courtney hesitates, too frightened to move, narrowly avoiding Cindy's footstep, only to find herself in the shadow of Jenny's foot. Dodging between her feet as the two girls get dressed for Cheer practice.   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
