In an Arctic Laboratory

The story begins when a small group of scientists isolated deep in the Arctic discover a polar bear that had been frozen in ice that dates to be at least a thousand years old. With such a well-preserved specimen they would be shooting themselves in the foot not taking back to their home base to study. In the middle of thawing out the bear an incident occurs and members of the laboratory have to leave for a short while, leaving one volunteer to stay behind and examine the defrosting polar bear. Upon completely thawing out however, the scientist is shocked to find that the bear has revived! To make matters worse (or better) the beast seems to be getting bigger...
