This man was just a simple stage magician, who had his pet parrot along for the tricks, though this was no simple illusions, but the real deal. His name is unknown to the audience, though they all obviously wanted to see his tricks. Otherwise, why would they have bought tickets?

"For my first trick of the night, I will make my lovely assistant disappear!" he said while giving the brightly colored bird a smooch on the beak, setting her on the ground while waving his wand, purely for show of course! But what happens?
