Jake had just finished one of his classes and had another one starting in an hour. Having some time to spare but not enough to justify going home, even if it was a few blocks away, Jake decided he'd get some lunch in the dinning hall. It was across campus but was in the direction of his next class so it wasn't out of his way, he just needed to walk through the quad.
Despite how many people were around, he always found it relaxing to walk through the quad as he observed the groups and individuals that hang out around here throughout the day. Though today was a little weirder than usual. He watched as a couple of people were walking normally, froze for a second and then ran off to the closest building. Then there were a few people who were on the opposite ends of the quad minding their own business before running up to each other. There also seemed to be duel frat and sorority hazing going on as they seemed to be wearing the opposite clothes and wigs, none of them seemed too happy about it, which is why he refused to join a fraternity.
Jake observed an elderly and kid being escorted by security. The elderly person claimed to be a student and was heading to class while the child claimed to be a professor. The elderly person made him sad as he couldn't imagine the confusion of forgetting years of your life and imagining you were still in college. Though the kid he found pretty funny, how their imaginations would run wild and tell the most obvious lies.
As Jake continued to walk, he noticed someone laughing and turned to face them out of instinct. From this distance, Jake couldn't tell if they were a man or woman, especially since they were wearing a black hoodie. Though he noticed that they were also observing the quad and pointing out the strange behaviours, finding them funny. Jake looked in the direction they were facing and expected to see someone else acting strange but there was no one there. He then turned back towards the person in the hoodie who was now facing Jake.
