Makoto held a bottle of dulled-rainbow coloured liquid in her hand. She was alone in her room back home and was doing her best to keep her nose from sniffling whilst considering her options.
The check up went well enough, the punk doctor was quick to figure out the best cure for the cold. Apparently she had been working on an experimental mixture that so far had shown only positives.
The only downside was that those positives were in male test subjects.
Said test subject was currently at home with his cat.
The last thing Makoto wanted to do was to try out a shady doctor's latest creation, but then again. According to Akira, she and the rest of the thieves had been taking her stuff for a while now.
"Achoo!"
Makoto could feel her nose burn from that one. She was already sick of this cold.
"Damn it," she said to herself. "I'm supposed to be a more free woman now. A fighter, a queen!"
She quickly undid the cap of the bottle. Even with her nose clogged, she could still smell the oddly invigorating aroma of the medicine.
"Alright then. Here it goes."
She gulped down the liquid in few short seconds.
She nearly fell over from the taste alone. Not to mention the heat wave that hit her. She took a deep breath as she felt the contents fall to her stomach. Her biker getup was thankfully open enough to keep her cool.
Makoto took a few more breaths as the heat in her body died down.
It was here that she noticed that her nose was clear! In fact, it was the clearest it had been in years.
"Wow." Makoto said with some confidence. "That stuff works fast!"
She took one last triumphant look at the now empty bottle before she set it on her desk. The time for colds was over, now was the time to study.
What she didn't know, was that in a few short seconds, she'd experience something far greater than a clear nose.
Because in a few short seconds, Makoto Niijima would...
