As Adam left the disappointing store, he was hiding a smile a mile wide. While Jack was already looking for somewhere more entertaining to go.
"Fancy a coffee, Adam?" he asked, spotting a nearby stand.
"Yeah, sure..." he answered, "Besides, I've something to show you." he added in a low whisper, casting a furtive glance back to the magic shop they'd just left.
A sly, slight opening of his jacket revealing the half-shadowed inside, and Jack guessed some stolen item.
"For God's sake..." Jack said, more agitated, and glancing back to the same door. Already expecting an outraged owner to erupt forth and accuse them of theft.
"They only had junk..." He said, "Just drop it in the trash can. I don't want to be caught stealing... let alone for something that's cheap tat."
He nodded towards a bin, meaningfully scowling his disapproval.
