Pinkie Pie jumped up and down, a jolly smile on her face, balancing the plate she had on her head very well, the cupcakes flying into the air but landed back on the plate perfectly.
She was hopping down a stretch of dirt road, heading to a open field which had chairs, tables, balloons, and other assortment of goodies for the party guests set on it.
"Thanks for helping me set up the decorations," she said to Fluttershy, who was hovering in the air and tying a banner to a pole that read "Happy birthday, Rainbow Dash!"
She floated down, smiled, and said, "O, no problem, Pinkie. I'm just glad to help."
Placing the plate of cupcakes amongst the mountain of other snacks, Pinkie Pie turned back to Fluttershy and said, "I'll be right back. Need to get those pies from AJ."
"Okay," said Fluttershy before looking around, "Is there anything else I need to do around here?"
Pinkie Pie looked around as well, her hoof to her chin as she thought. The tables were overflowing with food and presents, there was so many balloons that it threatened to lift whatever they were tied to off the ground, and the themes of the party, she was sure, would be to Rainbow Dash's liking.
"Just keep a lookout for the birthday pony," said Pinkie Pie with a wink, "Make sure she doesn't fly over here or it would ruin the surprise."
"O-okay," said Fluttershy, sounding a little unsure and rubbing one of her front legs, "But I'm not very good at, you know, keeping surprises hidden."
"You'll be fine," said Pinkie Pie, hopping away.
