Sam’s hot cheerleader girlfriend April parked in front of Sam’s house & got out. April quickly walked up to the front door & was about to knock when Sam’s mother opened the door & greeted April, “hello April. I was just leaving to go see some friends. Sam’s not here but you can wait in his room. He's running some errands for me & should be back in less than an hour or so. I got to go.” Sam’s mother walked by her heading to her car in the driveway. April walked in shutting the door behind her. April had been to Sam’s house every week for years so she knew right where Sam’s room is. April walked past Ian’s closed door then past Joey’s open door. April noticed Sam’s fat 12 year old brother Joey playing video games & snacking on chips. April waved at him & continued on to Sam’s door. Joey turned his game off & walked out of his room calling after her, “April. How are you? I hope you know Sam’s not here right now.” April replied, “I’m doing good. I know he’s out running errands for your mother but will be back in under an hour. I’ll just wait in his room. How are you?” Joey replied, “I’m doing good. Sam got a package today.” April asked, “what was in it?” Joey replied, “I have no idea. He took in to his room then left quickly. I’m curious to know what he got but I hadn’t gotten the courage to open it yet.” April said, “come with me. I’ll open it & I’ll let you see what it is.” Joey nodded his approval.
April opened the door & slipped inside with Joey shutting the door behind them. April looked around to see everything looked as it normally does but then spotted a package laying on his desk. April picked up the package to see it was opened on one end but whatever Sam received was still inside like Sam was interrupted before he could see what it was. April reached inside & pulled out a piece of paper & a small voice recorder. April flipped the sheet over to see it was a letter addressed to Sam. April read the letter out loud, “Sam. Here is a magic reality altering voice recorder for you. Whatever you record will become reality. You can literally change anyone or anything. Only the person holding the recorder will notice the change in reality unless stated otherwise. Be careful how you word your records & have fun.” April said, “I wonder if it works.” Joey replied, “I bet it’s some kind of prank. Magic isn’t real.” April replied, “Only one way to find out. We should test it out & change one of us or someone else.”
