A magic reality altering voice recorder

Sam starts opening the package to see a whole bunch of packing peanuts. Sam dug down till he felt a small envelope & a small metallic object of some sort. Sam pulled the envelope & the metallic object out to see it was a black voice recorder. Sam opened the envelope & pulled out a letter. Sam started reading the letter to himself,
“Sam. Here is a magic reality altering voice recorder for you. Whatever you record will become reality. You can literally change anyone or anything. Only the person holding the recorder will notice the change in reality unless stated otherwise. Be careful how you word your records & have fun.”
Sam looked the recorder over to see there was a play, stop, erase button & a microphone to speak into. It looked just like an ordinary voice recorder. Sam said to himself, “this can’t change reality. I’ll prove it right now!” Sam walked over to the window where he could see his red truck parked in the driveway. Sam raised the recorder to his mouth & pushed the record button as he said, “my truck has always been a blue truck.” Sam heard a strange sparkling sound when suddenly his truck turned from red to blue. Sam’s eyes got real big when he saw that happen. Sam then looked at the picture of him & April standing in front of his truck taken a few weeks ago. In the picture his truck is blue instead of red like he remembers it being. Sam knew right then that reality really did change.
Sam thought, “I should test in on a person. But who? I could test it on me, my brothers? Or I could take it to one of my guy friends houses? Or I could take it to April’s house & show it to her or her brother Ben?”
