Sam clicked Apply & waited a few seconds but nothing seemed to happen. Sam started clearing his desk off which he let get a little messy as he waited. After 5 minutes he got his desk cleaned off yet still nothing happened. Just as he was about to get up he saw a pair of thick glasses that a science geek would wear appear out of thin air on his desk by his keyboard. But that’s odd. He’s never had to wear glasses ever. Sam looked the glasses over & felt them to find they were real! Suddenly everything became extremely blurry. He felt around the keyboard for the glasses & put them on to find he could see perfectly again. Then He felt a weird cold tingling sensation shoot down his spine & through out his muscles. Suddenly his feet lifted off the floor as he had his desk chair sitting at nearly it’s highest position. As his feet lifted off the floor, he noticed the computer screen seemed to rise up a bit as if he were lowering the chair. Yet he wasn’t! He looked down to see not only were his arms getting shorter but they also got thinner & smaller as his muscular biceps, triceps & forearms shrank in size to average even skinny looking. They didn’t look defined at all! It was then he realized his large muscular pecs had shrunk, deflated leaving him with a flat chest. He looked down at his legs to see his once massive muscular legs had shrunk leaving him with small, skinny, shorter undefined legs.
Sam hopped off his chair & walked over to his full length mirror. He took his shirt off & tossed it on his bed. As he looked at his reflection he saw the transformation was complete. However he now looked like the average skinny, weak freshman that had never stepped foot in a gym or even worked out before. His abs were gone leaving a flat untrained, stomach. Even his arms & legs were skinny like sticks. He said to himself out loud in a higher pitched voice than normal, “holy crap! It actually worked!” Instead of his normal deep voice he now had a higher pitched voice.
Sam started looking around his room as he realized it had completely changed! His football posters were gone. Even his varsity football team picture was gone. Even through in the old reality he was a freshman, he was tall enough, big enough, strong enough & good enough of a football player to be on the varsity football team as an offensive lineman with the juniors & seniors. Now he would get crushed by those guys quite easily! Even the freshmen football players were likely bigger & stronger than him now! Sam walked over & looked at his freshman class schedule to see he indeed no longer played football or any sports for that matter. Sam wondered how all these changes would effect his friendships. He wondered if Ben the enormous giant senior offensive lineman & he were still friends. In the old reality even though Sam is a freshman at 6 feet 4 & 285 pounds. Ben was 7 feet 6 & 450 pounds mostly muscle but also fat with a large belly. Sam wondered if they were still friends off the field. In fact he wondered if he would be able to get along with the varsity football players now that he was a short, skinny average freshman. Before he was friends with all the guys on the team. Now he wasn’t so sure. As they would quite easily tower over him & be much, much stronger than him now.
Then he noticed along one wall was bookcase after bookcase. Each loaded with thick encyclopedia like books, science gadgets, trophies & other computer science stuff. He stepped closer & looked at the trophies expecting them to be athletic trophies. However they were all science, computer, chess, mathematics related trophies. All his football & weightlifting trophies are gone! He then looked over at his computer to see it had changed from the basic gaming computer to a super powered top of the line science computer. He even noticed he now had top rewards from science fairs. He was now the definition of a science geek. He actually felt insanely smart!
Just then. Sam realized he had to go relieve himself bad. Sam put his shirt back on then opened his door. He stepped out & shut the door behind him. He walked down the hall into the bathroom shutting & locking the door behind him. After relieving himself He stepped on the scale to find he weighed just 100 pounds. When he saw that he realized Ian now outweighs him by about 40 pounds or so. Even though Ian is 4 inches shorter, Ian is now the main athlete between him & his brothers. He is a receiver/running back on his 7th grade football team & wrestles as well on the 7th grade wrestling team. Not only that but he also works out in the middle school weight room as well as in the family home gym. Sam realized that would make Ian significantly stronger than himself as he himself literally looks as if he’s never touched a weight in his life.
Sam opened the bathroom door & walked out as Ian walked by him shirtless towards the bathroom. Ian wasn’t fazed one bit at Sam being just 5 feet 4 & skinny as a rail. However Sam noticed something odd about Ian. Ian seemed to be quite a bit bigger muscle wise & height wise than in the old reality. Ian appeared to be 4 inches shorter than Sam as his head was about even with Sam’s eyes. His muscles seemed to be a bit bigger & more developed. Sam knew that was probably because he had shrunk himself a foot in height. Ian actually has a fully developed 6 pack of abs. Ian has decent sized muscular pecs that stick out a couple inches past his abs. They are so defined & solid looking! His arms & legs also are fairly good sized & defined! Ian actually looks like a middle school receiver/running back & teen weight lifter.
Ian closed the door behind him as Sam continued downstairs to the kitchen. Sam measured himself by the door where each family member’s height had been recorded over the years. He found indeed he was now just 5 feet 4. He looked to see Ian’s highest height mark read 5 feet tall & Joey’s read 4 feet 4. Sam figured in his head that Joey would come up to just below his shoulders. Before Joey came up to just below his muscular pecs. Sam walked out of the kitchen & picked up the tv remote as Ian walked downstairs. Ian said, “hey my show I want to watch is coming on soon. You can go watch in your room.” Sam replied, “well I was in here first. You go watch in your room instead.” Sam figured Ian would still listen to him considering he’s still the older & taller brother. He was wrong. Ian stepped forward & stood face to face with him trying to intimidate his skinnier, weaker yet taller brother as Ian replied, “tell you what. Why don’t we wrestle for control of the tv until Mom & Dad get home. If you beat me then you get control of the tv. But if I beat you I get control of the tv. Deal?” Ian stuck his hand out to shake. On it. Sam replied, “Deal! I’m sure I can beat you.” Sam shook Ian’s hand as Ian squeezed very firmly more than what Sam was used to. Ian replied, “I’m not so sure about that. You might be 4 inches taller. But I outweigh you by 40 pounds & I’m quite a bit stronger. Let’s go.” Ian flexed his biceps causing a nice sized mound of muscle to bulge on each arm. They were definitely bigger than what Sam had currently!
Ian walked towards the home gym with Sam following behind him. As they walked in to the home gym, Sam took the glasses off so they wouldn't get broken. Of course everything became real blurry again but he could make out basic objects & shapes. He could see Ian just not very clearly at all. They walked over to the wrestling mats. They begin to circle each other. As Ian counted down, "3, 2, 1."   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
