Still in the living room, Sam thought it would be good to test it on himself seeing as nobody else was at home. His initial thought being as big as he was at 6'4 ft the same height as his father, it would do him some good to see what's it like being shorter. Especially since he was taller than most people he knew.
Setting the Size Ray to shrink he let loose the device on himself. As the beam hit him, he felt numb at first then tingly. Soon after he saw that the things around him were beginning to look bigger. Due to the awe of his own shrinking he forgot to let go of the gun and let it shrink him more than he wanted. Just as he remembered about the gun he stopped pressing the trigger and set it on the table.
As he was amazed that he was still shrinking along with his clothes. He didn't notice that the table itself was now at the height of his head, and that he was still shrinking. Just when he tried to reach for the gun he shrank down some more and couldn't get it anymore.
Now he was at least 12 inches tall, way below the table he placed the gun on. He was afraid now as reality struck. What if something might happen to him at that size or if someone sees him???
