It was an accident and a mishap that sent Trent Boyett to juvenile prison for five years. It was an accident not of his own doing, but those five lying jerks; Cartman, Kyle, Stan, Kenny, and Butters. If only they told the truth, he wouldn’t have been confined to behavioral rehabilitation for five freaking years! Five years in those padded walls didn’t change him, and he doubts another five would.
Although, Trent’s return to prison is not all the same. He acted so kindly and cheery, that his caretakers recommended a lessening of his sentence. He was out after 3 years, now 11-years-old. Another thing that changed is he met this older dude who claimed he was a Shaman of some kind. He said that he has the ability to possess other people, and he showed that when he possessed Trent’s body for a day.
The experience was a blur, like a dream where you are not in control. There were moments where he was lucid, but he was in this dark abyss. The only light source is a screen where he could see what the Shaman is doing with his body.
The shaman didn’t do much. By the end of the day, the Shaman was gone. Trent asked his caretakers where he went but they claimed there is no such person in this place. The only evidence that he existed at all was a gift he left behind - his power of possession.
Let’s go back again to Trent's lessened sentence. Most of the truth hasn’t been told. He actually used his newfound powers to possess a caretaker and recommend to the prison supervisor how much of a good boy Trent is. He brushed his teeth three times a day and volunteered at the chores around the facility, even though he did not. Trent could easily walk out of this facility while under the guise of a worker, but he doesn’t want to leave any loose ends.
The prison supervisor agreed and Trent was a free kid once more. Unlike his prior return to South Park, this one goes unannounced.
Cartman, Kyle, Stan, Kenny, and Butters were none the wiser that their bully is coming back.
The bus door hissed, and Trent jumped down the steps. The cold crisp air of South Park hits him.
“Ahhh… I’m finally back home.” Trent said.
Trent was an orphan and he thinks the orphanage won’t accept him back. But that’s okay. With this power bestowed upon him, lacking a home is the least of his problems.
