Chapter #4

Super-Sized Science

    by: knoxfan1316 Author IconMail Icon
Olivia was not in the best of moods. Especially after being dragged to a pointless class trip to a scientific research facility.

The teacher, Miss Hart, had brought her class to a research facility to understand the fundamentals of science. As they approached the large building, Olivia only rolled her eyes at the structure with no enthusiasm whatsoever.

The children boarded off the bus, with Olivia coming off last, heaving her fat figure off while snacking on some Starbursts.

A female scientist in a white coat walked up to the group, wearing small frame glasses and sporting long black hair.

"Welcome to the Gordon Institute of Advanced Neoblastic Technology, or G.I.A.N.T for short," she greeted, "I'm Dr. Alicia Greenwell and I will be your tour guide through this marvelous structure and go over some of our most impressive work we've accomplished over the past 60 years! Any questions before we begin?"

"Yeah, when do we eat," asked Olivia, sticking her flabby arm out.

"Well we will have a large luncheon after the tour. The chefs have prepared a wonderful vegetarian feast for you all!"

Olivia just groaned at the lunch idea. Vegetables?! Who wants to eat lousy vegetables?! A girl like her needs some proper nourishment; candy, burgers, fries, chicken, cookies, soda, milkshakes, ice cream. Not some crappy group of greens.

Dr. Greenwell leaded the group to a large theater that had rows and seats made available. Each student took their seat, with Miss Hart taking the front seat, while Olivia sat all the way in the back.

"Before we begin, we will watch a little short film about the history of this institute, as well as the founding father himself, Hershel J. Gordon," said Dr. Greenwell who brought the lights down in the theater.

The theater screen was soon lit up from the projection, prompting the film to begin. An old fanfare theme began to play as the opening titles began to appear.

Gordon Institute of Advanced Neoblastic Technology presents

The History of Hershel J. Gordon and G.I.A.N.T.

After the opening titles, a cartoon light-bulb appeared with white gloves and brown shoes, looking like a character from the 30s or 40s.

"Hello folks," he greeted, "I'm Larry Lightbulb and I'm here to tell you the story of a man and the industry he created; Hershel Gordon and the company he made called G.I.A.N.T.!"

Olivia rolled her eyes as she was about to watch a boring old movie. But she then looked around to make sure no one was near the back exit. This prompted her to slowly escape the tedious boredom and out to find some good food to eat.

As she carefully made her way down the hall, she passed by various rooms where numerous experiments were being conducted. She was hoping a snack room was nearby so she could get something good to eat.

However, she found herself in a particular room where inside she found...

You have the following choices:

1. A size ray gun

*Noteb*
2. A food item that grew through scientific purposes

3. A growth formula

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
