Alternative choice

    by: NVR Author IconMail Icon
You think for a moment about going with your mom and sister but fear that it'll end up being just a waste of time, after all you're trying to enhance your skills with this re-spect feature and tagging along to shop girly stuff doesn't seem like a good investment of your time. Playing video games with your brother was out of the question too, what was the point of repeating the decision you made before?

You scroll past other available options and make what you believe is the best decision available

>Refuse and do your homework

What happens next comes to you in a blur. Instead of experiencing in your 5 year old body what would have happened what you get instead is a series of still pictures and text boxes describing what happened, that after disappearing you notice how they stick to you as if they were fresh memories. You have no time to get amazed at how on earth this process works though, you're too busy trying to assimilate the information and consequences of your actions.

First you see how your mother approved of your choice and instructing Jake to help you with the homework, but then you saw Jake arguing with your mother and once she left with Sam, Jake lashing out at you for cutting out his game time because mom forced him to help you.

"Why are you such a dork?" you hear Jack say in his 7 year old voice and next thing the images show you is how he ended up bullying you instead of helping, shoving you around and giving you noggies until you agreed to not bother him and then you locked yourself in your room while he played videogames. Finally the text showed how you managed to finish the homework on time, but due to what happened earlier you took longer than expected and didn't do anything else of note.

"Is this what would have happened?" you wonder with a mix of sadness and bitterness at what you thought was your closest friend now behaving like that just because he was asked to help you. You tried to remember you were just rerolling things but.. it felt so real, the memories were there for you to easily recall now. You didn't understand what happened, you thought you would just do the homework and go to play with your brother, ending up a bit smarter or something as a result. Instead it seemed you were punished for your actions.. At least you remembered you could re-spec later, according to what the UI showed earlier.

Next the UI bombarded you with text showing you what you gained and lost according to your decision

- Relationship with mom ++
- Discipline ++
- Intelligence ++
- Math skill ++
- Logic ++
- Relationship with Jake ----
- Confidence --
- Gaming Skill --
- Happiness --

Along with an option to go to the next event or just go to autopilot, meaning the re-spec would be completed automatically based on what you already chose.

What happens next?

You have the following choices:

*Noteb*
1. Next event is at school

*Noteb*

*Noteb*
3. Next event is with Jake

*Noteb*
