As a titan's roar echoed throughout the forest, mikasa and levi took action. Mikasa rushed forward, ignoring armin's cries for her to come back. Levi rushed through the forest as well. On his way his eyes widened as he saw the smiling corpses of his team. Eld was on the ground while gunther was strung form a tree by his gear, both dead with joker like grins. Oluo was knocked farther away from them, his face in the ground but with a chilling lack of blood. His eyes met petra's body, up against a tree, a permanent smile on her face but her lifeless were stained with tears. Levi lowered his head, angry with himself for failing his team again but he would do his best to avenge them.
Eventually both ackermans reached eren but it was too late. Annie had captured him in her mouth and started to make her escape. Mikasa made the first move but levi stopped, claiming he was too look after him in the first place. Levi then took off with mikasa close behind. Annie knew he was there and in an instant, she turned around and threw a full force punch. Levi was quicker and flew around her arm, eventually blinding her by throwing his blades in her eyes. Annie put a hand around her nape to guard it and back up by a tree. Levi took out two dusters from before and flew around her, faster then ever. The female titan burst out laughing, still sensitive from the scouts assault, her roars echoing louder then ever. Inside her titan form, annie couldn't stop laughing. her face was red and tears of joy fell from her eyes like a waterfall. She could feel him everywhere. Every spot was targeted and she couldn't do anything to stop him. Her open armpits was targeted the most. It was taken whatever willpower she had left to keep her guard up until her eyes came back.
But how long would that take? Her eyes were flooding with tears and she could feel herself getting weaker. Mikasa looked at the display with awe. "He really is humanity's strongest" She thought to herself. Eventually annie's arm came down and mikasa saw an opening. She rushed forward, ready to end this but annie was a step ahead. She lost her eyes but not her ears. She heard where the anchor landed so she had a good idea of where mikasa was. She lifted her left hand, ready to end mikasa. But before she could, levi arrived and sliced her jaw, causing her to open her mouth against her will. On one fell swoop he took eren and retreated.
