Robed Down

"Ah, dammit," you shouted to no one in particular.

After handling the laundry, you had continued to do your chores around the house, including the dishes. Unfortunately, your new tiny feet provided you with some imbalance. Just enough that you lost your grip on the bleach bottle for the dishwasher whilst holding yourself up against the counter.

The soap went all over the jeans and T-shirt you were wearing.

You were quick enough to get them off and wash them before stains could set in, but the damage was done. You were now standing in the middle of your kitchen in nothing but your boxers and your mother's socks.

“Great,” you muttered. “And all my clothes are in the wash already too…”

You didn’t feel like standing around half-naked around the house, even if no one was going to be around for a few hours. It was starting to get chilly anyway. As soon as you were done putting away the dishes and starting the machine, you wobbled around on your shrunken feet back towards the basement.

You knew that it was going to ride up a bit on you, but it seemed a better idea than nothing.

You slipped it on and, as expected, the robe came up short to your upper thighs. But it was covering enough to continue your business around the house.

As you worked, the robe began to work its magic on you.

As with the socks, it was a slow change. Though with more ground to cover, the changes had to take its time starting with your height. You were always the tallest in the family, standing at 6’2 with your mother being a short woman of about 4’10. And as you tiptoed on your dainty feet around the house, you slowly began to dwindle down in scale. Slow enough that you wouldn’t notice.

It happened an inch at a time, being a slight pressure in your back that was causing you to come closer to the ground. You were too busy putting things away around the house to notice the drop in height. Though you had to adjust the robe after losing about three inches in three minutes.

And so it continued, with you steadily shrinking until...
