Those words were enough to make Ruby’s blood run cold. While thankful that she wasn’t to be crushed like the ants below, the fact that this giant was all too thrilled about a little person between their fingertips almost made her wish she was back on the ground running for her life.
“Where did you come from? How did you get like this? Are there more of you?” Nora fired off so many questions that they sort of blurred together. Ruby wasn’t sure they were gonna stop until she felt her body being swung to the side when Nora roared. She had no control over her actions at this point.
“Look at you with your long cape! It makes you look even more adorable.” She watched Nora tug at her cloak without a ton of force, thankfully, “In fact, you’re so cute that I can just eat you up!”
With a big smile, the giant suddenly moved Ruby towards her lip which opened up to a massive hot cavern. She could see her teeth and the saliva strings snapping away from her tongue and the roof of her mouth.
“No, wait!” Ruby squirmed, but her body wouldn’t be able to escape the strength of Nora’s fingers. All she could do was brace herself for an unpleasant trip in this girl’s steaming maw.
Suddenly her jaws closed shut and was followed up with laughter. Ruby was hoisted up in the air again while Nora took delight in her capture. “Just kidding! Didn’t mean to scare you!” She beamed, and carefully dropped her on her open palm.
Lying on the warm hand, Ruby remained fearful of the giant girl. She hadn’t noticed her emotions, purely focused on her thoughts while a finger hovered just above. She suspected it was to pin her down, and she was proven correct when it landed just in front of her legs.
“Man, it’s a good thing I didn’t crush you like those annoying ants.” Said Nora, “That would’ve been terrible. Plus, I think it’s great you’re like this. You can avoid all that boring schoolwork, and run around freely!”
“But after what happened, I think it’s best you stick with me, okay?” She flashed off a wide grin. She was completely on her own level with the tiny Ruby getting more worried about her current predicament. She could only wonder what kind of danger she’ll be put in if Nora continued having her way.
