In the World of Remnant Mankind is besieged by the Creatures of Grimm, being who are attracted to negative emotions and kill any human or faunas they come across, for reasons unknown.
There are two groups who fight them.
The Huntsmen: Males who undergo training for years in specialized combat schools and utilize unique weaponry in accordance to their semblance and fighting style. These Hunters are generally placed in teams of four, and maintain close bonds with one another.
The other group are the Huntresses. Or more commonly, The Giantess'.
The Huntresses are, of course, females, and all females are Huntresses. But in Remnant women are the size of giants. Where a fully grown man is perhaps shorter then an Ursa or a Beowulf, a Huntress can swing either of these creatures around, as if they were toys.
There is another fact about the Huntresses. They often eat their male counterparts.
They do this because of two reasons. Firstly, a Huntress can gain a boost to thier Aura if they eat a man. How this was discovered, no one knows, but it has been proven as fact many times over. Secondly a Huntress can extend her lifespan by funneling the taken aura directly into thier physical bodies
When this was discovered women all across Remnant began to feed. However this diet caused later generations to have complete incontinence. Since they didn't want to simply soil everything where they lived, the Huntresses came up with a technique that affects every Huntress today and all that will come after them.
The Auric Diaper.
It is a diaper that upon birth, will form on a Huntress' body and grow with her for the rest of her life. This has caused the Giantesses to adopt a semi-infantile lifestyle, often in order to cope with the never ending Hunt of Grimm.
The Diapers themselves are able to be cleaned if the Huntress channels Aura through it for a time. However more often then not, a Huntsman will smell a Huntress coming before either see each other, this being a Huntsman's "early warning" tool.
With all these going for the Huntresses, the Men of the world are very outnumbered on both sides by both enemy and "ally".
This has caused the males of the world to build vast underground cities, where the Huntresses and many Grimm cannot find them. The only ones above ground are the Four Kingdoms, who are protected by walls large enough to deter both Huntress and Grimm if necessary.
The Huntresses see no problem with this, and use the opportunity to explore Remnant to their leisure and pleasure.
But there are times when the act of reproduction needs to come about.
Huntresses are capable of shrinking down to normal size, but only when they are about to have/are in the middle of intercourse, or pregnant with child.
Males will simply remain the size pf a normal person. Females will grow to enormous size over the course of five years and most simply leave behind the males to find company with other women.
The Huntresses by comparison live in the wild, with little to no common technology, in massive cave systems, rural plains, massive jungles, etc.
The Huntresses see no need for complicated weaponry, though there are a few who do. Many are content with using thier natural strength on the lesser Grimm, while augmenting themselves with Dust for the Elder Grimm, or groups of enemies.
They utilize Dust by either ingesting crystal or powder forms, or weaving Dust into the lining of thier Auric Diapers, usually a personal emblem of sorts.
When not hunting, some brave souls can witness a Huntress in a relaxed state. Huntress will often find beauty and wonder in the world around them, being overcome by immense curiosity and childlike behavior. One notable instance was when a Huntress was seen making a colossal sand castle on the coast of Anima.
Finally, while it is rare, some Huntresses bond with a Huntsman, and become partners. It is rare since a Giantess would rather eat a Huntsman than work with them.
But those who do bond with Huntsman become fiercely protective of them. Attacking a Huntress' male partner is to invite pain on the violator of this unwritten rule.
