This choice: Both friends come to the apartment • Go Back...Chapter #4Both friends come to the apartment by: Guyman   It's simply delightful that you'll have someone to help you through this confusing time. You pull the pillow on your armchair into a joyful hug, kicking your feet in elation.
But... something seems amiss here. You look askance at your apartment, trying to parse what was amiss. The stripped bed, the locked closet, a big scary trunk, the doo—, the door! You try the doorknob once and to your relief, it turns easily. You fan yourself with a gloved hand in relief. It's a small weight off your mind knowing that at least you're not trapped again.
Still, there's a nagging feeling in your mind. What else could be wrong? You ruminate on it for a second, finger pressed to your lips. Then it hits you. You hadn't put tea on for your guests! Oh, and this place was so dirty, it could use a bit of spiffing up!
You hum a lilting tune as you head on over to the kitchen and open the cabinet above your oven. Ah, there it is, your favorite Royal Mushroom tea. Ah, and your favorite pink teapot! You fill up the kettle, a sunny smile on your face.

Right as you were taking the kettle off, a series of knocks rang out. Finally, someone to help you! You step briskly to the door, swiping a finger on a nearby table, just to make sure that everything was clean. You swing open the hardwood door, and to your (delighted) surprise, there are two figures standing there, one tall with brown hair, the other short with blonde hair.
Ah, your heroes, Mark and Billy.
They gape at you for a second or two, before Billy broke the silence with a faux whisper to Mark, saying "Whoa, dude, did Bryan hire some weird cosplay fetish maid?"
In response, Mark slapped a hand over Billy's mouth and posed a question to you. "Excuse me, Miss, do you know where Bryan Cobb lives? Or if he moved recently?"
Your smile drops a few notches. This was going to be difficult to explain.  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
