Zach sighed as his shirt fell to either side of his ever-rounding belly, having gotten large enough in the past month that it just popped the buttons off his second new work shirt. He just looked down and the bulbous mass blocking his view of his feet, disappointed that he can't seem to do anything to slow it. Every time he's said he was going to go to the gym he just gets too tired to go, his hunger never seems to go away now, and his new group of friends certainly don't help him try to eat less. In the two months since moving to Abercrombie he had already gained 60 pounds, having just hit 230 that very morning.
"Alice, is there any chance you can fix my work shirt? Three buttons just popped off it," Zach yelled out.
"Ugh AGAIN? Didn't you just get a new one?" Alice groaned.
"Hey, it's not like you haven't done the same thing!" he retorted, especially since it was just last night that she popped the button off her jeans at dinner with Tess and Seth. "We just have to face the facts, we're not going to be getting any smaller."
"But that doesn't mean I have to keep fixing your clothes for you," Alice added. "It's just too much work." She walked into the bedroom and plopped down next to Zach, the ever-growing couple staring at themselves in the mirror that makes up their closet door. Neither one liked how large they were getting and neither one was willing to put in the work to curb it either, resulting in them resembling more of what they looked like in high school.
While neither of them were close yet to the heaviest they had ever been, they were certainly on their way back to that look. Alice's stomach was still, much to her chagrin, the largest part of her. Since she had already had breakfast that morning her stomach was fairly round and taut but usually it resembled more of a bowl of jelly, hanging a bit like a fat sack on her body. The rest of her had grown too, her thighs having begun to chafe, her arms having puffed up, and her face now being graced by a double chin again. Zach was also all belly, but his was more like a small beach ball had attached itself to his midsection, straining any shirt with buttons and making it impossible to find a t-shirt he owned to cover the whole thing, often leaving the apartment with at least a couple inches of belly exposed for the world to see (not that the world cared, that look was the norm in Abercrombie).
The couple just stared at themselves for a few minutes in the mirror then looked at each other.
"Time to go clothes shopping?"
"How about tomorrow, we have plans with Tess and Seth tonight."
