You finally decide that one of your friends might be able to help you. You take a look around yourself and recognize the area as being near your friend Emma's house. You stand up and begin your trek towards salvation, at least, that's how it feels. After 10 minutes you find yourself at her front door. You consider knocking but don't want to risk Emma mom calling yours and snitching on you. Instead, you sneak around to the back of the house and tap on Emma's window. A moment later, it slides open and Emma sticks her head out.
"Julie? What are you doing out here?" she said.
"I ran away from home and I need a place to camp out for a bit, can you help me?"
"Yeah, come on in." Emma extends a hand through the window and helps you climb into her room.
"Thanks," you say, "This means a lot."
"No problem. Stay here for a bit while I get something for you to sleep on."
Just as she's about to leave the room, your tummy lets out a thunderous rumble.
"Do you think you can get me something to eat too?" you say. She nods before leaving and closing the door behind her.
A few minutes later she returns, carrying a sleeping bag, a couple of pillows, and a bag of chips. You help her lay out the sleeping bag before taking a seat on her bed and popping open the chips. You and Emma dig in, grabbing handfuls of chips in between conversation. The two of you quickly run out of chips, and you can't help but notice that you're still ravenously hungry.
